Who here, also have a chatterbox in their family?
My son is a chatterbox and sometimes I just wish for 5 minutes of silence. Or to listen to my favorite television program. Or to have a conversation with someone else without being interrupted by him.
I know it sounds terribly selfish of me, but sometimes it just gets to me. I remember my sister was and still is a chatterbox. My dad would get so cross at her because of her chattering on the wrong times. We could not listen to a television program without being interrupted or have a conversation without being interrupted by her. She always have something to say, no matter what.
This was a problem yesterday for us when it started to rain while we were on the road. My son was in the car and when it started to rain, he could not stop talking, as usual. Me and my husband had to tell him so many times to stop talking so that my husband can concentrate on the road, while it is raining very hard outside. But he just couldn’t. It is so difficult for him to stop talking, even for one minute. It just felt if I could pull out all the hair on my head, of frustration. This was a situation where we really needed for him to stop talking.
Any advice???
